I can't believe it has already been two weeks since my last chemo session...I have thought about it a lot today and I am so glad to be here at work and not in the chemo chair. I have been feeling really good this week. My goal was to get on the treadmill this week and I have done it once...I can tell you that I didn't go far and I didn't walk fast but it felt good to just start exercising again. I really am amazed how well I feel....I have heard so many horror stories about how once you get to the end of chemo you feel like you can't do anything for weeks and I really don't have any of that. I will admit that my energy level is lower than it was before chemo but I think I am doing good. Dr. B. had commented on how good all my counts were the day of my last chemo, he said I had a very strong system!
We are getting more snow and ice here in Cinci tonight. Everyone panicked here in the area that I work in so there is a horrible traffic jam....I decided that I would just stay here in the office for a while and see if it gets better.... I am so ready for winter to be over! I have loved the snow that we have had this year but it is so cold this week that I am ready for some warmer temps.
Hair update: my ghostly white bald head now looks like a fuzzy peach. I have a covering of very fine, very light hair all over. I can't tell if they are blonde or gray...with my luck they are probably gray but at least it's hair! GROW, GROW, GROW!!!!

That's what hair coloring is made for! I can't believe its only been two weeks and it is already coming in! So glad to hear you are getting your energy back. Already on the treadmill? You go girl. By the time I see you in a couple of weeks I'll be running to keep up with you in the stores like we used to!
Stay warm!
Love, Kay
Glad to hear you are bouncing back quickly! Before you know it you will have all your hair back and it will be difficult to remember what it was like to be bald.
Stay warm! It's been bitter cold up here too!

Grow, Grow, Grow!! :) I'm sure that no matter what color, it will be beautiful! And soft and healthy too! We are finally getting rain down in the south, but otherwise, the weather has been pretty mild. But I'm ready for Spring too! Love ya! Linda
Hi Jan! WOW - it's amazing your hair is growing in! Now when JD's hair grew in - we thought he was going to end up with some pretty funky looking hair. It was as BLONDE as he was when he was a baby - very fine, blonde hair. Big huge patches of it - from where his was gone. The rest was his course darker brown hair! It was pretty wild for quite some time. Now it all blends together perfectly - except for the texture is a little different than the rest of his hair! I am so anxious to see what your's will end up like - won't that be fun to anticipate!????? Have a great weekend! Missing you something terribly!!!!!! Sue
I'm so glad to hear that your are doing well. You look great in your pictures!! Also glad to hear your hair is coming back in. What if it comes back straight!? It will be beautiful no matter what just like you! Take care of yourself.

Hi Jan - thought I had you figured out pretty good and I figured for sure there'd be a new post.... How was the NO MO CHEMO party???? Hope it was a blast. I know Bret worked hard and was anxious to do that for you! Wish I could have been there - but glad on the weekend we chose - weather wise anyway! I went to see Corban yesterday - can you believe he is 7 months already - isn't that crazy!??? I went to Lafayette today looking for a present for Aunt Nel. We'll do the Eagles for her birthday this weekend.... Well, hope you have had another good weekend! Love and miss you! Sue
