The night before surgery...

Thank you so much to all of you for all your kind words today by email, blog and phone. I tried to get everyone called back but ran out of time. I am completely overwhelmed by the love and generosity being shown to us from all over. It is times like this that you realize what is really important in life ----friends and family. Several of you brought food over tonight and it all was great - maybe I won't be too hungry going without food all day tomorrow after eating so much tonight. Thanks for thinking of us. It is such a relief to know that the kids will be well taken care of tomorrow and so many of you have also offered to help.

I am nervous about tomorrow but I am also ready to move forward and find out what we are dealing with.........whatever it is I am thankful to have all of your support and I know that we can continue to count on you during this journey.............

Jan and Brett,
Hey it's Kim and Dave and we just got an email from Sue T. letting us in on what is going on. Girl, we love you and we are going to be prayer warriors for you. We have been there, been through treatments as you know, and God was so perfectly good to us throughout those six years and I know that He will walk right along with you as well. THe waiting is the worst but you just pray for peace and He will supply it. Someone said to us to quote "If God will bring you to it, He will bring you through it." Jan, we will be anxiously awaiting for your results and will be in close touch. It was so good to see you this summer and I can't wait to hug you friend.
Lots of love and prayers,
Kim, Dave, Bailey, and Brennan

My Dearest Friends - I have had you on mind so much since Sue told me the news on Friday. I wanted to call, but felt you had too much on your mind. I will call very soon. Please know I am praying for you and thinking good thoughts. I wish we lived closer to be helping you out this week. Later, after surgery, all it will take is a phone call if you need anything at all, we will get in our vehicle and do whatever you need. I love you guys and am thinking about you so much. Love, Jo Harmon & Family

Jan and Brett,

You guys have been on my mind ever since I heard the news. My wife Susan and I are keeping you guys in our prayers and know that you will come through this just fine. Jan, you have been like family to me ever since I became a part of the Lithonia extended family 17 years ago and think the world of you guys.
My sister is a 2 year survivor and has told me that if you want to talk to her anytime, please call her. She is more than happy to do so. Sue Taylor has her contact info.
We are anxiously awaiting the news and keep praying for a fast recovery.

God Bless,
