Thursday Prayer Request

Thanks to all of you who have been praying for us. I firmly believe that God is answering our prayers. I am nervous to hear back about the results from pathology. I hope that we will hear something today. I am still afraid of what we might learn. I keep thinking about the day of surgery and the radiologist changed the doctors plans after he reviewed the mammogram. He said the area was too big to just do the lumpectomy and that is why they didn't insert the needles before surgery. I wasn't planning on chest x-rays or body scans to also happen that day so that also scares me that they were looking for cancer in other areas. It is just so terrifying....I guess it is just the fear of the unknown and the waiting is horrible. I was reading about a woman who beat cancer many years ago and she said one of the things that helped her the most was when a friend prayed for God to take away her fear.....she said that prayer worked and she was able to stop living in fear of the unknown. So many of you have asked what you can do to help and today I would ask that you pray to God to take away my fear.

I feel so blessed to have all of you in my life. Our family is lucky to have all of your love and support.

Dear God, today I pray,
Take all of Jan's fears away.
Let her know her soul is whole,
And that peaceful joy is the ultimate goal.

You've been on my mind constantly and I can't send enough prayers your way. I know you are tough enough to fight the fight and the courage you've shown thus far proves you have no fear, girl.

Jan - I believe in praying for specifics - so that's great that you put that out there for us. God hears our prayers. I, too, hope the results come back quickly. I understand your fears, the fear of the unknown can drive you crazy at times. We go places we need not go to. Been there, done that. Keep holding on girl - you've got what it takes to beat this! I love you - - - Sue

Hey Jan,

Just wanted to say I've been thinking about you SO much, and that I'm confident - as I'm sure everyone else is - that you will soon overcome this obstacle. I have so much faith in you, and I know this is such a scary time, but don't forget to have faith in yourself too!! You are strong, and you are a survivor!! Love you much.

What a great thing to pray for. I will do so for both you and Brett. Maybe a bunch of us here in Conyers can get together and do a prayer circle. The power of prayer in a group is tangible! Anyone???

Dear Jan, I know that spirit of fear well. He has knock on my door many times. The Lord gave me this verse to claim:
2nd Timothy 1:7...For God has not given us the spirit of fear: but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
When I quote that scripture and tell that spirit I am a child of the King to leave me alone he high tails it out of Dodge!
The Lord is still in the healing business and what He does he does well! Look at me.. I'm going to live to be 100!
Love and prayers,
Dorothy (Debbie S. mom)
