Wigs are ready and waiting...

We had a great weekend and accomplished a lot! I had lots of energy all weekend. My sister came down for the weekend so we all went to pick out a wig Saturday. That went very well and we ended up with a short one and a medium length one. I am glad she was there because the kids wanted me to get a wig that looks exactly like my hair (not easy to find) and Bret wants me to go crazy and get something like long, straight and blonde...I worried how the kids would do and Jillian was a little upset once we put the first one on but once she could feel it and knew that my hair would be back someday she seemed better. Both kids liked the foam wig heads so we bought two of those which they later proceeded to color with crazy hair, mustaches, lots of make up, etc.

After that Kay and I were able to get a little x-mas shopping done and that evening she and Bret and I went to dinner and to Go Bananas comedy club. It was a fun evening and we all know laughter is good medicine! Yesterday I met a group of girls at a spa for pedicures which was a wonderful thing to do on a rainy day and then I came in to work for a couple hours to finalize last minute details for our upcoming training.

It will be a very busy week but it will help keep my mind off of chemo on Thursday....I just really hope we can do something different to keep me from getting so sick.. LOVE TO ALL!!!

I don't know how you feel about this, but medicinal marijuana is incredibly helpful. Just a thought. It IS actually a natural herb that has amazing healing powers if used properly.

Just get a long straight blode one for the fun of it! Now's your chance to see how you'd look. You and Heidi Klum, strutting down the runway swishing your long blonde tresses... go, girl!

When my sister was going through this, I remember her being so upset that all her head hair fell out but she still had to shave her legs and underarms, and that just made her so mad! And the thing is, the hair grew back exactly the same - thick, curly corkscrew hair that she now has a completely different appreciation for.

She's doing double duty with her prayers for you guys, btw. As, of course, all who know and love you are.

Glad you're so energized at work, darlin'!

So glad I had my "Jan fix". I needed this past weekend as much as you, if not more! It was so nice to be there if even only for a couple of days to help you ( and the kids) out in any small way! I will get back as soon as I can.

Love you!
Kay

P.S. Marijuana outta put mom right over the edge!!

Great news about the wig! You'll need to post a picture on the blog. I'm sure it looks great! And I like the suggestion about the "natural herb" drug that anonymous suggested - what a hoot! Reminds me of the Desperate Housewives episode where Lynette's mom snuck some into the brownies she ate she refused to take it(don't usually watch that show, but that episode was hysterical). Let's hope the doctors come through for you! Take care and good luck with your agency reps this week! Linda

Smoking weed will bring you multiple benefits. You will feel a lot more comfortable and relaxed which will make it easier for your body to repair itself. And you won't have any trouble with appetite cause you'll have the munchies! (Of course, you should eat something besides doritos and twinkies!)

I vote for the long straight blonde wig! If you don't buy one, at least have a picture taken when you try it on the next time you visit the wig shop.

Lots of care!
