Thanks to my great friends at work...

The generosity of people never ceases to amaze me. Today was my last day at work and everyone was so great. Peggy brought in some snacks and a balloon for my office. They had taken up a collection and bought several different gift cards for groceries and restaraunts in the area. I also got some very thoughtful gifts and great cards...

Of course there were plenty of hugs and well wishes. This group has been so supportive through all of this...I know there were lots of days that I didn't feel well and I was probably not the most pleasant to be around but they all were so understanding and supportive every step of the way. I know we all find it easy to complain about our jobs but I feel so blessed to work with such a great group of people....when I left Lithonia I thought I would never find such nice people to work with but here I am once again surrounded by a wonderful group of people......Thank you my LSI friends...YOU ROCK and I luv ya!

Jan, You continue to be in my thoughts and prayers as you face yet another hurdle in your difficult journey. I can relate to most of what you have experienced thus far except your upcoming surgery. The bright side to that is you'll have perky boobs!! :)
I pray the Lord will direct the doctors hands, that all will go well, that you will experience little or no pain and the Lord will send angels to minister to you and your family so there will be much peace in your midst.
Love, Dorothy

Hey Girl!!!

It was so nice to see you for a "short" bit this afternoon!!! It was also nice to meet your Mom. I'm so glad that she can be here with you.
I didn't get a chance to comment about the Prayer in Hobby Lobby...that was awesome. I tell ya, God works in mysterious ways!!
Jan, I know you've got a big day coming up here. Please know that I will be praying for you. I know that everything will work out fine. This is just another hurdle that you have to overcome in this journey and you will come out on top.
I can only imagine all that you are going through, but I'm here for you!!! I will continue to keep you, Bret and the kids in my prayers!! Stay strong.
I hope you guys have a wonderful Easter.
Sending you lots of love & hugs!!!
We'll talk soon!!

Just getting ready to give you a call but thought I would post a Happy Easter to you and your family from us! When we were at church last night the O'Leary's asked about you, see how many people are praying for you? That's why I know you'll get through this week just fine! We love you and miss you!

OK - so I'm fighting back the tears. I love, love, love your Hobby Lobby story. Thanks for sharing that. Remember how you "ministered" to the girl in the wig shop - that guy was placed right behind you in Hobby Lobby - no accident! :) Just like you were in that wig shop - just when you were needed! And you said all the right words! Yes, God is so good! He's watching over you and your family EVERY step of the way! EVERY step! I promise! I'm praying so hard for you all! You were/are sorely missed when you left Lithonia - but look who you are surrounded by now.... Yep, no accident! :):):) OK - enough of that! Sounds like your Mom is there - and I'm glad for that. Please tell them hello from me! I love you so much Jan. We had a great time at Mom and Dad's. The weather was PERFECT! Sunny and 70 on Friday, Sunny and a little cooler (60s) on Saturday. We played corn hole, the boys went fishing, while mom and I hit the new Belks store. I went on a huge shopping spree! Pretty crazy - but I just can't seem to find things I like these days - so since I did - I went crazy! hehe... Great times! Well, this is too long - but I had to check in. I thought so much about you this weekend. I'm here for you, in whatever way you need! 0K???? I love you. Take care. I'll be checking in. You'll make Bret keep me informed won't you!???? Love you..... Sue (special, specials prayers going up for you! It's going to be OK!)

Hi Jan!! I'm sorry that I haven't sent you a message for a while. I just wanted to let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I can't even imagine how difficult tomorrow will be, but you are one of the most strongest people I have ever known and I know you will come out on top once again. Please give Bret and your beautiful children a hug and a kiss for me. They are in my thoughts and prayers also. I love you all and sending you all lots and lots of hugs. Love, Shannon

Your Hobby Lobby story reminds me that there are good people in this world and I'm so glad one of them found you. I'm also very glad that you have made more friends in your journey of life so that you are not alone through this. Please know that your friends and family from all over are thinking of you and praying for you as well as Bret and the kids. The difficult decisions you have made not only for your health but in what you tell your children are heart-wrenching. And it is because of your children that you keep going - so just remember that throughout your journey. They'll keep on keeping on if you will too:) I'll be praying for your recovery from surgery and your perky boobs in the end:) Love ya!
