Tuesday update...

I have finally been able to sleep....I have slept in until 9:00 the past few days...wow - feels good. Not sure that will work with my back to work schedule next week!!! I have very little pain now with the incisions. The one in my belly button was the one that seemed to hurt the longest...I think that is where she did most of the work...OUCH! I have been sitting outside and reading. I love Nicholas Sparks who I just discovered so I am addicted to his books. He writes romance novels...you might have seen The Notebook or Nights in Rodanthe which were two of his books that were made into movies. I find it interesting to read romance novels written by a man but his stories really are incredible....I think The Notebook is the greatest love story I have ever read....

Our weekend was nice. Kay and Dean were in town to help their nephew with some remodeling at his home over on the East side so it was great to spend some time visiting with them. On Sunday Bret and a few other guys put together a great Mother's Day dinner. It was a beautiful day....it was so nice to let them do all the planning and just show up and EAT!

I have included a few pics from our weekend. Mom, the beautiful flowers are the roses that you and Dad sent...thought you might like to see how nice they were...Thanks again, I really enjoyed them!!

Hey Jan! Glad to hear you're not in much pain anymore and spending some great relaxing time reading.... I loved the Notebook movie - never read the book. I also had wanted to go to the Road to A... (however you spell that!) - but my UN-romantic husband would not take me! Of course, I was to wait until it came out on video - which I still haven't seen it! :) JD's doing great - he doesn't feel a bit different - so not sure why his counts were down. They'll come tomorrow and draw to see if we go on Friday. He was pretty pumped he missed out on Tuesday! Seemed weird NOT doing it yesterday! I hate that chemo is part of my routine these days - but as long as it heals my boy - we'll do it, until we don't have to anymore!!!?? So you go back next Monday..... Wanted to tell you that you look fabulous in your pictures! And Bret is a pretty darn good hubby.... He has proven that over and over! Are you enjoying your laptop? I bet you are..... Love you and miss you! Sue
