Stronger each day...
I was able to come back to work yesterday. I brought a sleeping bag, pillow and blanket and took a little rest just after lunch. I was able to close my blinds and shut the door to my office and re-energize! I was finally able to start eating again and can tell that I am getting stronger each day. Everyone at work was great my first day back after chemo. A couple of the girls had brought in small gifts for me and I had lots of hugs to welcome me back...I am very blessed to have so many supportive people in my life!!

Continuing to pray for you and your family daily! So glad to know that you are surrounded by supportive folks there!
I am so glad that you are feeling better. I think about you often. It is comforting to know that you have a lot of support there with you.
Much Love,
Jenn
So glad to hear you are feeling better! I hope you recover as quickly if not more quickly for the rest of the treatments! Take it easy and don't wear yourself out. Glad you hear you have a support group that can pamper you while you are recovering! Take Care! Love you! Linda
Jan,
Thank the Lord for answered prayer!
It is a blessing to hear you are feeling better.
I want to share a few things with you and I trust it will be an encouragement as you travel the same journey so many breast cancer survivors have traveled.
Sounds as if you are taking the same chemo drugs I took...adriamycin and cytoxan. I had 4 treatments, one every 3 weeks. Also, it was this time of year when I was diagnosed and began my treatment 16 years ago.
My hair came out 2 weeks to the day after my first treatment. I lost ALL my body hair. The positive side...I didn't have to shave my underarms, legs or pluck eyebrows. And, no wind resistance!
I discovered why pioneer women wore night caps. It helped to keep the body heat in.
The first few days after losing my hair my head was very tender. Can't explain why. Turbans were too tight and uncomfortable. I found sleeping in one of Gordon's sockhats was not only warm but very soft and comfortable. Maybe not the most glamourous attire but I was going for comfort!
When you shop for a wig purchase some of the tape that is designed to hold your wig in place. This is most helpful on a windy day!
You will survive this and one day be able to look back on some of this and laugh. Laughter is good for the soul!
Take care and God bless,
Dorothy
Work is a great distraction and I am glad you are back at it. Don't over-do it though! :) Take lots of care! (and naps)

It's heartbreaking to hear what you are going through but I know you can tough this out. With the support system you have with you, you can get through anything. Hang in there - it will all be over soon, right? Take care and thanks for posting your progress so we can see what's happening.
Love Ya
Jamie
You have such a positive outlook that I know everything is going to work out. I'm glad you are feeling better. It great to know that you have a huge support group to be there when you need someone. I think about you and your family daily and pray for you each night.

good morning Jan! Hope today you're even stronger yet! You were so smart to go prepared with sleeping bag and pillow in hand. Certainly no surprise that you are THAT with it! Love you..... Sue
